Hichki is about Naina Mathur, a lady who wants to get into the noble profession of teaching but has a speech defect called “Tourette Syndrome” and because of that, what struggles she has to face before and after becoming a teacher is what the movie Hichki is all about.


The film is about turning disadvantages into opportunities. As the two and a half minute trailer starts we see Naina Mathur aka Rani Mukerji has a speech defect called of “Tourette Syndrome”, a problem in which she involuntarily makes a sound chuck chuck, despite this she wants to become a teacher as she thinks she is born to become a teacher. After many rejections, she finally gets a teaching job in an elite school, where she is given a job to teach 14 students from lower income groups thanks to ‘Right to Education’ which she agrees. What follows are a round of event where she gets bullied by students, their misbehavior leads to many fights with other students and how Rani Mukerji deals with all this as she thinks no student is bad and teachers have to guide them properly. Rani Mukerji makes a grand comeback after 3 years on screen and looks refreshing and shines in the trailer, it promises to be one of her finest performances till date. The trailer gives us an idea that the film is all about self-belief, the human spirit, and hope. The movie releases on 23rd March 2018.


Be it any genre, Drama films are always entertaining and engaging to watch as Drama Films are serious presentations or stories with settings or life situations that portray realistic characters in conflict with either themselves, others, or forces of nature. A dramatic film shows us human beings at their best, their worst, and everything in between. In the past we have seen movies such as Life in a Metro, 3 Idiots, Swades, Wake Up Sid and many more which have not only done well at the box-office but also critically. Hichki is of the same genre and the trailer promises that it will do well critically and at the box- office.

Star Cast:

Hichki consist of a stellar star cast which includes Rani Mukherjee, Supriya Pligaonkar, Ivan Rodrigues, Asif Basra. Rani Mukherjee will be seen on the silver screen after 3 years and is all set to shine once again on the silver screen. Also actors such as Supriya Pligaonkar, Ivan Rodrigues and Asif Basra have proved their acting talent to one and all. After seeing the trailer one thinks that this could become one of the fi nest performances of Rani Mukherjee.

Sound Track:

The music of the film is given by Jasleen Royal and Hitesh Sonik. The song Oye Hichki sung by Harshdeep Kaur has already crossed 5 millions vilew online, along with the song Madamji Go Easy has reached over 4 million views; Sung by Benny Dayal and David Klyton is a fun song to listen.
