AFTER MOTICHOOR CHAKNACHOOR…….
After Motichoor Chaknachoor Nawazuddin Siddiqui will now be seen in Woodpecker Movies’ DUSTY TO MEET RUSTY, which will be helmed by Glen Barretto. The film will go on the floors in August this year in a start to finish schedule. The prep for the film is underway and another A-list actor, as a parallel lead and an A-list actress are on the verge of finalizing for the film. Besides this film, Nawazuddin will also star in and co-produce Bangladeshi filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki’s No Land’s Man. The film is currently in its pre-production stage and is expected to go on the floors later this year. Watch this space!
Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari who is currently working on his upcoming ChhichhorE, starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor in the leads, has planned a massive song for the film which will roll with the end credits. The said song will be shot on the sets amounting to Rs 9 crores and this will also mark the reunion of choreographers Bosco and Caesar who have come together after three years for this track. The song will also feature Prateik Babbar, Varun Sharma and Tahir Raj Bhasin, who also star in the film, alongside the leads and 500 back up dancers.
Ranveer Singh and the team of ’83 have already started prepping and the intense training session at Dharamshala for the film. The actors are all prepping under the guidance of Balvinder Singh Sandhu. Besides this Ranveer Singh will also spend about 10 to 15 days with Kapil Dev himself to try and learn about him more. Along with Ranveer, other actors who will play important supporting roles are Pankaj Tripathi, Saqib Saleem, Chirag Patil, Harrdy Sandhu, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Adinath Kothare. ’83 is directed by Kabir Khan.
Tabu, who garnered a lot of appreciation for her performance in ANDHADHUN, will be honoured at the 17th edition of Indian Film Festival in Los Angeles for her contribution to Indian Cinema. The festival will be held from April 11 to 14 at the Regal LA Live: A Barco Innovation Centre and is expected to open with tribute for Tabu and will also have a special screening of her film ANDHADHUN.
After animating SINGHAM into LITTLE SINGHAM for the kids, Rohit Shetty is now all set to release the animated version of Golmaal on a kids’ channel. The show will be titled Golmaal Junior will have the same format as the movies and will have three central characters: Madhav, Gopal and Lucky. The show will release in May on Sonic channel and will have the plot of two rival gangs fighting against each other in a comic way.
ANDHADHUN released this past week in China and has done some terrific business there already. In its initial three days, thanks to the national holiday in China, the film earned around $6.5 million and the film should get to a number of $10 million approx or more in the extended 5 day weekend.
The release date of PM NARENDRA MODI has been pushed to 12th April 2019. The movie is being produced by Anand Pandit, Acharya Manish, Sandeep Ssingh and Suresh Oberoi. It stars Vivek Oberoi in the lead role.
Shah Rukh Khan starrer ZERO is all set to be screened at the Beijing International Film Festival. The film will be the closing film of the week-long festival, from 13th April to 20th April. The film also starred Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif as the leading ladies and was directed by Anand L Rai.
