Anurag Basu has achieved a casting coup of sorts with his upcoming LIFE IN A METRO sequel. The maker has signed up Parineeti Chopra to star opposite Rajkummar Rao in the film. The other details about the film are yet under the wraps. Watch this space for more!

Kajol is all set the recreate the iconic 90s song Ruk Ruk Ruk in her upcoming film HELICOPTER EELA. Incidentally the original song was picturized on her husband Ajay Devgn and Tabu in Vijaypath. The recreated song will feature Kajol grooving to the beats of the popular number.  The song is recreated by Raghav Sachar and sung by Palomi Ghosh.

After an FIR that was filed against Salman Khan Films’ upcoming release, the makers have now changed the name of the movie from LOVERATRI to LOVE YATRI to avoid further controversies and to not hurt the religious sentiments. The film marks the debut of Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain and is directed by Abhiraj Minawala.

After the brilliant success of STREE, makers Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik come back together for another film. The film in question is going to be the remake of the hit Marathi film Mala Aayi Vhaaychay [I Want To Be A Mother] which is based on the subject of Surrogacy. The film is going to be based on a true story. The story for the same is currently being written and the actors are yet to be finalized. Watch this space!

A couple of months ago, we had broken the news that Salman Khan will be launching Nutan’s granddaughter Pranutan Bahl in one of the upcoming films. The yet UNTITLED film, which will also be launching a new actor in Zaheer Iqbal, is expected go on the floors this month and is set against the backdrop of Kashmir. It will be produced by Ashwin Varde and Murad Khetani under their banner Cine1 Studios along with Salman Khan Productions. Salman Khan recently took to Twitter to make an official announcement on the film.

This past week we broke the news that Mahesh Bhatt will be seen returning to direction with the sequel of his hit SADAK which is titled SADAK 2. The official announcement of the same was made by Alia Bhatt through her twitter this past week on Mahesh Bhatt’s 70th birthday. The film stars Alia, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Pooja Bhatt as the leads and is produced by Vishesh Films. The film will release on  March 25, 2020 and will go on the floors next year.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next production MALAAL has gone on the floors in Mumbai. The maker launches Javed Jaffery’s son Mizan and his niece Sharmin Segal in this film. The film will be directed by Marathi film director, Mangesh. The first schedule of the film has already been completed and  it is said that the film may be extensively shot on locations abroad. Other details of the film are yet to be finalized. Watch this space!

Director Vasan Bala’s action thriller Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, India’s first-ever entry into the festival’s Midnight Madness segment, won the People’s Choice Midnight Madness Award at the 43rd Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on Sunday. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala under the banner of RSVP, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota is written and directed by Vasan Bala. Starring Abhimanyu Dassani, Radhika Madan, Gulshan Devaiah, Mahesh Manjrekar and Jimit Trivedi.
