[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”3364″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_shadow_border_circle_2″ el_class=”supercinema”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text el_class=”supercinema”]Just as the trade was gloating over the super success of Aamir Khan’s Dangal which created a record gross collections of 500 crores, now comes the reports that the South ‘Bahubali’ which created a furore in its fi rst part has surpassed all collections in its second part too with the film doing a business of more than 500 crores in its Hindi version and beating Dangal in its own fair game. Of course Dangal has made a mark overseas too and this is likely to be repeated by Bahubali- The Conclusion too as it has been made in other South languages too and we can just assume how big the figures of overall collections of Bahubali-2 will be. To what can we attribute this super duper business of Bahubali-2 ? First of all, the curiosity figure after the first part and everyone was talking about what made Kattapa kill Bahubali and also the gloss and the super special effects and the performances of powerful actors like Prabhas, Sathyaraj, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubatti  which raised tremendous enthusiasm about the film in the paying public and they lined up in queues like the olden days for advance booking, an unheard of thing among the present day releases and also the film was released in Hindi in a record 2500 screens for its Hindi version and 9000 screens worldwide and also introduced the 4K Version of cinemas which enhanced the projection of the slickly made magnum opus. Baahubali 2 released to positive reviews from critics and surpassed the 2014 Hindi film PK, to briefly become the highest grossing Indian film of all time, collecting approximately 800 crore (US$120 million) worldwide within just six days of its release. It became the first ever Indian film to gross over 1,000 crore (US$160 million) in all languages, doing so in just ten days beating the overall collections of the earlier highest grosser Dangal starring Aamir Khan who is a big star in Hindi in his own right but Bahubali- 2 hardly had any names from Hindi cinema except for Rana Daggubatti and Tamannah Bhatia who had a brief role. So will we see the resurgence of South cinema in Hindi again like in the seventies, eighties and nineties when it was the Jeetendra and Mithun era and directors like the late Dasari Narayan Rao, K Bhagyaraj, K Bapaiah, Bapu, K Balachander, etc made their mark in Hindi cinema? Will we see superstars like Rajanikant, Kamal Haasan, Chiranjeevi and Vikram star in big magnum opus historicals or musicals to woo the audiences? The sad part is that the makers of Bahubali- SS Rajamouli and his father writer have announced that there won’t be any more parts of Bahubali, but writer KV Vijaya Prasad will have his TV Show Aarambh, also a television magnum opus on STAR PLUS, start this week, a past tale about the Aryans and the Dravidians and their fi ght for power. Well, till Bahubali-3 releases we can enjoy the big screen dramas on the small screen! [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
