Trade Buzz: In its first week, the Ritesh Deshmukh and Vivek Overoi starrer BANK CHOR had a dull showing. The movie although held steady for most parts of the week but the numbers where too low for a major impact. The movie will get to a lifetime of under 9 crores.

Rajkumar Hirani will use the massive jail set which has been put up by Farhan Akhtar for his next LUCKNOW CENTRAL for the Sanjay Dutt biopic. The Dutt biopic is been currently shot in Mumbai and the movie stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anusksha Sharma, Somam Kapoor, Manisha Korila, Dia Mirza and Vicky Kaushal in the lead.

More on the Dutt biopic, apparently, Vicky Kaushal is playing the character of Dutt’s friend and brother in law Kumar Gaurav in the movie. But his character will also have shaded of some of Dutt’s other close friends growing up. Similarly, Sonam Kapoor is planning the character of all the leading ladies that Dutt romanced in his movies. Surely a nice and innovative narrative style which has been picked up by Rajkumar Hirani. The Dutt biopic opens this year in December.

After shooting their movie tentatively titled THE RING in places like Amsterdam, Lisbon, Budapest and Prague Imtiaz Ali is currently shooting the last leg of his movie in Mumbai. Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma both are participating in this schedule and past this two week stint the movie will be completely shot. The movie releases on August 11th this year.

Back in the day a brand association with Lux was top of all the major actresses of the yesteryears. For leading ladies like Sharmila Tagore, Madhuri Dixit, Sridevi, Aishwarya Rao Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and till recently Deepika Padukone have been the face of the soap brand. Now it seems that Alia Bhatt is going to be soon taking over the reins and will be unveiled as the new face of Lux in the coming few weeks. Watch this space!

She also took part in various reading sessions with the other cast of the movie. But on the eleventh hour, she opted out of the movie citing that she wasn’t too thrilled with the final shooting draft of the movie. This is a lame excuse as she was kept in the loop with all the changes from day one. Our sources are telling us that the real reason for the actress to walk out of the movie is that she wasn’t too kicked about the way the other lead actress’ role shaped up in the final version of the script and her insecurities crept in!
