The film is set to release on 6th October, 2017 and here’s why we think it will strike a chord at the box-office.

The trailer showcases a unique story of a father – son relationship. It seems to be a joy ride. Saif Ali Khan playing the role of a chef and a father is something interesting and fresh that the audience will get to see. The trailer is vibrant and the backdrop is more of outdoor scenario. It takes us to beautiful places of India and its tasty food. It also has a modern day food restaurant which is a bus come restaurant. A story of Roshan Kalra played by Saif Ali Khan – in this journey realizes his true priorities and a way to his happiness. It’s a family entertainer to break free and love life.

The plot seems to be interesting and lively which we have not seen in Bollywood since quite a while. It gives us the essence and the feel of our Indian food and how the bond and togetherness of a family or a child’s need is something important and sensitive in the journey of life. The story limelight’s on a focused and workaholic man who doesn’t focus on other aspects of life. But through this journey of meeting his son he develops and understands the priorities. We see a cute and friendly relationship between the father-son. And also a little bit squabble between the two. It is intriguing to see how Roshan kalra (Saif) manages everything and sets his life, work, fatherhood and love life to a happy ending.

Saif Ali Khan is believed to do unconventional characters and is in evidently good at what he does. Talking about his acting skills from being a romantic hero to an action hero to playing a villainous role and now playing a simple yet unusual role in ‘Chef’, he does it so well and convincingly. Though Khan’s last film ‘Rangoon’ wasn’t appreciated at the box-office but his character ‘Rusi’ was critically acclaimed. Now it is the wait and watch for the audience to accept him as chef and be appreciated for his role. He is seen in simple casuals yet so charming. We see a glimpse of his comic timing and his patent Saif Ali style.

Songs are an integral part of any film and it adds flavor to the film. ‘Chef’ doesn’t have too many playlist but a few of them are pleasant and soothing songs which pleases the ear. Song “Shugal Laga Le” is a lively, fun and high beat song which makes your foot tap. It’s a happy go lucky song and has hit the chartbusters. On the other hand “Tere Mere” is a soulful and soothing song sung by the Malik brothers – which has attracted the audience towards the song. ‘Banjara’ is yet another carefree and hopeful song which feels pleasant to hear when on a road trip.
