Our Opening Day Prediction

‘Chhichhore’ is a story of seven friends, tracing their journey from their college days in 1992 to their present day. From the trailer, it looks like, it’s a story all of us will relate to. It’s interesting to see all these actors also ageing up to showcase this journey. We feel the film will strike a chord with the audience and here’s why!

THE RELATABILITY

All of us have been in college and somewhere, the similarities, bonding, fun, emotions never really changes across all generations despite the changing times. Human emotions remain the same and hence, people will find a relatability. While the youngsters will want to go watch the film, the older section of the audience will want to watch it for the sake of nostalgia. Perhaps, they might also somewhere find their journey being tapped upon in the film.

THE ENSEMBLE

It’s a great ensemble cast of some brilliant actors put together. Right from Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Sharma who is doing so well in the ‘funny’ genre. It’s also interesting to see the actors ageing up and donning a different look for the film. It will be nice to see them in different avatars.

GENRE

The film has a lot of light moments and fun, which we can get a glimpse of, from the trailer. At some point, all of us love having lighter moments in films and films which are packed with all sorts of emotions. Comedy is kind of eternal favourite as a genre too. Come on! Laughter is the best medicine after all. Films which make you feel, always work. Here’s hoping ‘Chhichhore’ does live up to that expectation. Although, we believe, it will do better through positive word of mouth, if the content is really good.

THE DIRECTOR

Of course, being remembered still for ‘Dangal’, expectations are high from director Nitesh Tiwari. He has also written the film along with Piyush Gupta and Nikhil Malhotra.
