CHI VI CHI SAU KA (Mar.)
An absolutely engrossing funny romantic comedy. Satyaprakash (Lalit Prabhakar) is a solar energy engineer and is up-to many ways of conserving energy and is an ardent environmentalist who wants to save water and electricity at any cost and has an Obsessive Compulsion Disorder about this which infuriates his fiancée Savitri (Mrunmayee Godbole) who is a vegan of an extreme kind and is an ardent animal lover and wants to save life forms of all sizes at any costs and even refuses to sit in an auto rickshaw if the driver eats non-veg and she too has an Obsessive compulsion Disorder about being vegan. Their marriage is fixed by their well meaning parents but Savitri wants to try out their compatability by living together for some time which shocks the parents of both the sides but Savitri has her way and she starts staying with Satyaraj and slowly she realizes how different are they from each other and their views about life but yet they come together and get married. The film has an interesting concept by Madhugandha Kulkarni and her husband Paresh Mokashi has done full justice to her script with wonderful comic situations and dialogues. Lalit Prabhakar is a very good actor and shows lots of promise. Mrunmayee Godbole does a good act. Supriya Pathare, Sharmishta Raut, Purnima Talwalkar, Satish Alekar, Jyoti Subhash, Bharat Ganeshpure, Pradeep Joshi, child actor Pushkar Lonarkar, support well. The directors narration of the story through an anchor is very impressive. The music by Narendra Bhide is very good though it has only two songs and the lyrics by are excellent. The DOP Sudheer Palsane has shot the frames colorfully with bright lighting. The editing is pacy. The background score is very good. Overall a very good romantic comedy.
