Plot

Dhadak marks the entry of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter to Bollywood, an adaptation of the Marathi Blockbuster SAIRAT. The 3 minute trailer looks good and endearing, the director has kept Rajasthan as the background setup of the film, as the trailer starts we see Ishaan Khatter trying to pursuit Janhvi and what follows is that they run away from their family, and then they elope. Their romance looks endearing and innocent. Both the actors look promising, Janhvi’s character is powerful and confident while on the other hand Ishaan plays the role of a middle class shy boy. The lead pair seems promising. The film also stars Ashutosh Rana who lights up the trailer with his presence and it feels as the director has adapted and made the film with complete honesty. The trailer looks fabulous and the film releases on 20th July 2018.

Genre

Romcoms are generally appreciated by people, the genre remains evergreen. And this seems like a hardcore love story, with emotions and entertainment. It is also an adaptation of Marathi film SAIRAT which was liked by many people and this film DAHDAK has already created a lot of buzz among the audiences since the film was announced.

Star Cast

The film marks the debut of Janhvi Kapoor and she looks stunning and fully confident in her role. On the other hand there is Ishaan Khatter who made his debut this year with BEYOND THECLOUDS, looks amazing in his portrayal of a middle class shy boy. Then there is Ashutosh Rana who looks brilliant in the trailer. The chemistry between both the leads is beautiful and the trailer gives us an idea that all the actors have given their best.

Soundtrack

The music of the film is given by Ajay- Atul and lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The makers have released the songs and the song “Dhadak”, the title track of the film sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Ajay Gogavale has crossed over 53 millions views online and it’s liked by most people. The other song “Zingaat” sung by Ajay-Atul has received 45 million views so far and the song ‘Pehli Baar” has been viewed by 15 million people so far.
