Our Opening Day Prediction

As per the trailer of ‘Dream Girl’, the film seems to be hilarious and entertaining.  Ayushmann plays the role of a small town guy, who can talk in a woman’s voice.  Khurrana starts working as a female telecaller, who is pretending to be seductive Pooja, who has to flirt with the customers. The callers include a policeman, a young man, a woman among others.  These people fall in love with Pooja while talking to Ayushmann. Further, this creates a confusion and chaos as the lovers start hunting for their Pooja. It’s a hilarious mess that we see through the gist of the trailer; and, we predict what aspects will work in favour of the film for it to do well at the box-office.

Ayushmann Khurrana is back with yet another wholesome entertainer, it seems. Over the time, Ayushmann has proved his worth in the industry with his commendable body of work. After giving his fifth consecutive box-office success, he has become one of the most bankable actors among the younger generation. He is widely known to take on exceptional subjects, and connect with the audiences through his valuable work.  His choice of films has been quite intriguing and that certainly makes us take account of him and his choice of films. In ‘Dream Girl’, Ayushmann is in a never-seen-avatar.  We have witnessed a huge transition in Khurrana’s approach, ever since ‘Vicky Donor’.  We count the National Award winning actor as one of the USP’s of the film.  We believe he won’t disappoint his fans with this hilarious romantic- comedy film.

In today’s time and age, we have witnessed immense evolvement in a way filmmakers are approaching concepts; they want to show on celluloid. Also, with the kind of films that are being made, audiences have been accepting new stories, concepts and appreciating the filmmakers to invoke such concepts. ‘Dream Girl’ is one of those films which seem quirky, funny and an intriguing concept. In this case, the concept becomes the unique selling point of the film. Why wouldn’t one go to watch a film that certainly seems to serve a laugh riot?  As a movie buff, we would definitely count on this one.

Posters and trailers are primary aspects of the film’s promotion to impress the audiences and gather the required attention.  And, ever since the poster and trailer of ‘Dream Girl’ were out it created quite a buzz around and was well received.  Primarily, the poster of the film was interesting and had built a curiosity level as to what the film is all about. Later, as the trailer was out, it not only gave the audiences a gist of the film but also built an interest to look forward to watch the film.  The film is a family entertainer and targets all-age-group audiences.

Music of the film is refreshing and peppy.  “Radhe Radhe” and “Dil ka Telephone” has been on the chartbusters and has received quite a good response. The recently release romantic track “Ik Mulaqaat” is soothing and pleases one’s ear.  “Dhagala Lagali” is a recreated version and also adds on more fun during the festive season of Ganesh Chaturthi, as the masses will be blasting this song during visarjan.
