‘Jalebi’ starring Rhea Chakraborty and Varun Mitra is a bittersweet love story.  The story revolves around Aysha and Dev who fall in love and how their relationship is evolved with time and ups and downs that leads to unfortunate situations. Jalebi’ is all set to hit the screens on October 12, 2018.

The trailer is light, entertaining and full of drama; it showcases an ambitious girl played by Rhea, who falls in love with Delhi based tour guy, played by Varun. The two eventually get married and everything seems going good until Rhea realizes that her life is too stifling with her husband and new family. This leads to their unfortunate separation. After few years she meets Varun again on a train and she learns he has a wife and a kid now and she realizes that he never loved her and was having a false for years.  The film is full of emotions and passion. ‘Jalebi’ is a love story with twist and turns.

Rhea Chakraborty is back with her first film of 2018.  Rhea plays a Bubbly, carefree and confident girl. She is paired opposite debutant Varun Mitra, the duo seems to be showcasing a good chemistry on-screen. Varun Mitra is seen playing the role of the tour guide in the film. The actor has previously hosted a couple of travel shows. This certainly proves that it helped the actor prep for his role.  It also marks the Bollywood debut of TV actress Digangana Suryavanshi who has starred in TV shows like ‘Veera’ and reality show ‘Big Boss’.

The soundtrack of the film is average. ‘Pal’ is one of the most romantic and soulful song from the album, voiced by none other than Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal. The music of ‘Jalebi’ is a mixed bag where a couple of songs work really well, whereas a couple of songs are just about to manage to pass muster. Though not one of the best to come out from the house of Vishesh films, it still has its moments.
