Our Opening Day Prediction

Ever since its trailer released, ‘Judwaa 2’ made us nostalgic by bringing memories of the 90s hit, Salman Khan starrer ‘Judwaa’. While it promises to have a similar essence with new characters and situations, even the songs have been recreated from the older version. This time around though, we have Varun Dhawan stepping into Khan’s shoes. The film is set to release on 29 September, 2017 and here’s why we think it will strike a chord at the box-office.

Two brothers (twins) played by ( Varun Dhawan) born to a businessman are separated at birth when their father exposes a smuggling racket and a king pin. One of the brothers is thought to be dead but only he come back stronger after living life on the streets to reunite with his family over a sequence of events and twist of fate. One knows the basic plot of ‘Judwaa’ which is again seen in the trailer of the film. In a way, this one can be called the reboot of ‘Judwaa’ as it has similar situations with popular songs being recreated. The trailer is fantastic and promising for its freshness and nostalgia quotient – both fitted in together.

Varun Dhawan and his leading ladies Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez are leaving no stone unturned with their charming and vibrant performances. Taapsee romances one of Varun’s twin characters Prem in the film and is being appreciated for her appearance in the film. On the other hand Jacqueline Fernandez is looking fabulous and sensual. Let’s wait and watch what the two have to offer. Varun Dhawan is commendable with his comic timing in the trailer. He dances well, romances well, fights like hero and he makes us laugh. The trio is simply worth watching and is giving the audience high hopes from their super entertaining performances. Also, this new cast will highly appeal to the youth today, who’ve grown up watching the original ‘Judwaa’.

Apart from the film’s trailer what catches the fan’s interest is the film’s sound track which has hit the right notes. The recreated version of hit song ‘Oonchi Hai Building’ and ‘ Tan Tana Tan Tan Tan Tara’ is a joy ride, pure and energetic. These songs have been retained and add flavour to the film.

Now this is a combination which can’t be missed. In a way, David Dhawan is the king of comedy and the fact that he brings ‘Judwaa 2’ for us has lead to immense expectations from the film. Also, a comedy is welcomed more often than not by our audiences, and always proves to be a refreshing! Here’s hoping the audience enjoys watching this one!
