‘Kedarnath’ directed by Abhishek Kapoor, features Sushant Singh Rajput and debutant Sara Ali Khan in the lead roles. It is one of the anticipated films of the year. Set against the backdrop of the Uttarakhand floods of 2013, the film showcases a love story of a Muslim boy and Hindu girl and how the pilgrimage of their love commences. Ever since the trailer of the film was released, the audience craved more of it. Every love story has its quirks and this seems to be quite promising, thus these are the few factors we state in favor of the film.

A well defined trailer is what you need to intrigue the audience; and with ‘Kedarnath’ trailer, it was truly justified. From its posters, to the teaser, it gave rise to eagerness throughout. The trailer is crisp and filled with picturesque location of Uttarakhand. The mesmerizing powerful visual of the tragedy as water comes gushing down from all sides, destroying everything that comes in its way.It is a potent combination of love and passion, religion and spirituality. Sushant plays a cheerful and hard-working Muslim porter who carries the devotees on his back to the Kedarnath shrine for livelihood.  On the other hand, Sara plays a role of a Hindu devotee – a young, bubbly, rebellious and free- spirited girl – who eventually falls in love with her porter.  It will be intriguing to watch how their epic love story gets twisted with the devastating floods.

We see an incredible chemistry between Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan. The duo seems to be promising and refreshing together on the silver screen. Debutant Sara Ali Khan seems to have hit the right chord with the audience ever since the posters and glimpse of her dialogue delivery was out.Wherein,Sushant Sigh Rajputis once again on a trail to impress the audience with his effortless acting and unconventional role.

The songs of the film are supreme. To begin with the first song ‘NamoNamo’ that is spiritually soothing and visual delight. It is a bright and light, devotional number.‘Qaafirana’ is a romantic song that soothes the ears as well as the eyes to its picturesque locations and soulful music.  On the other hand, the track ‘Sweetheart’ is a peppy number and has all the elements to make it popular during the ongoing wedding season. And the recent track from the album is ‘Jaannisaar’ which is a soulful song that depicts the heartbreak the couple goes through in the film.We see an amazing variation in the album and which has been engaging the audiences.

Romance and drama as genres have their owncharm and expectations among the audiences. It’s one of the most appreciated and entertaining genres’. It’s one of the genre’s that deals with common emotion ‘love’, and the happy and heartbreaking love stories that we have seen in the past.  Similarly, ‘Kedarnath’ seems to be an epic love saga with bitter facts.  In the past we have seen inter caste love stories and how and which have went down as all time hit films in Bollywood. ‘Kedarnath’ seems to be in the similar space and promises to be entertaining.
