Netflix Acquires Rishi Kapoor starrer RAJMA CHAWAL; The film is set to have a theatrical premiere at October’s London Film Festival, before releasing online on Nov. 30. Set in the chaotic, vibrant Chandni Chowk area of Delhi, RAJMA CHAWAL captures the relationship between a father attempting to reconnect with his estranged son through social media. It is directed by Leena Yadav, who previously directed PARCHED. Amyra Dastur co-stars along with Aparshakti Khurana and Anirudh Tanwar.

According to our highly placed sources Aanand L. Rai is all set to collaborate with Vishal Bhardwaj for his next film. Both the filmmakers have already had multiple discussion on the said project. Watch this space for more on this one.

Renowned Hollywood filmmaker Darren Aronofsky’s master class set for Mumbai Film Festival; THE BLACK SWAN director will attend the festival, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. In the past, the festival has hosted master classes by Oliver Stone and Cary Fukunaga, among other luminaries. Organizers till now have confirmed the line-up for the India Gold competition which includes BULBUL CAN SING, the latest project by director Rima Das, whose VILLAGE ROCKSTARS has been announced as India’s entry for the best foreign-language film race at the Oscars. The Mumbai Film Festival runs from Oct. 25th to 1st Nov.


Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar will kick start shooting for Anurag Kashyap backed project WOMANIYA from January next year; The film will feature the actresses in the role of professional rifle shooters. Film is inspired by real life shooters Praskashi and Chandro from the Tomar family who are senior citizens. Last week makers reordered the first song which was composed by Vishal Mishra. Film is backed by Reliance Entertainment and will be the directorial debut of Tushar Hiranandani.

Aditi Rao Hydari is set to play the leading lady in Dhanush’s next directorial opposite him. Besides him, this Tamil-Telugu bilingual will have prominent South industry stalwarts like Nagarjuna, SJ Suryah and Srikanth in important roles. The film is period drama that went on floor earlier this month.

Amyra Dastur is all set to join the cast of Rajkummar Rao’s next venture MADE IN CHINA which is being filmed in Ahmadabad and later will have a schedule in China. Film also stars Mouni Roy and Boman Irani. Film is directed by Mikhil Musale and produced by Dinesh Vijan. Amyra is also part of Rajkummar’s MENTAL HAI KYA which has already been completed.

Amitabh Bachchan who is currently busy with the new season of KBC, and gearing up for Thugs Of Hindostan, will start shooting for his next film Jhund in November on a non-stop schedule in Nagpur. The total shoot duration is 70-80 days, Mr Bachchan will shoot for 45 days straight in Nagpur. The kids will be meeting him and doing rehearsals two three days before the shoot. Amitabh Bachchan starrer, Jhund produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, Savita Raj Hiremath, Nagraj Manjule under the banner of T-Series Films, Taandav Films Entertainment Ltd, Aatpat is directed by Nagraj Manjule.

 Irrfan Khan starrer DOOB is Bangladesh’s official entry for Oscars 2019. The film was earlier banned in Bangladesh but was later released. The film will be contesting in the Best Foreign Language category along with several other films.
