It was the month of June last year when we at Super Cinema were the first and only ones to break the story of Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt coming together for the first time in a mini-series for Netflix which was going to be directed by Shakun Batra. The show was going to be based on the book by Ma Sheela titled DON’T KILL HIM. Now almost eight months later we have some more dope on this show. According to our sources, Netflix was very keen on taking this mini-series on board but apparently, the negotiations between Netflix and Aamir Khan didn’t go as planned. In the meanwhile, a few weeks back actress Priyanka Chopra has been roped in to play the role of Ma Sheela in another adaptation of the same chain of events in a Hollywood film which is going to be direct Academy Award winner Barry Levinson. This new announcement could also mean that Netflix is now a little apprehensive taking the Batra mini-series on board as well. In the meanwhile, Batra has apparently begun scripting for his next feature directorial venture already. BuzzBollywood Trade Magazine
