Opening Day Collection

‘Noor’ based on Pakistani author Saba Imtiaz’s novel, ‘Karachi, You’re Killing Me!’ There are a few films which instantly give you a good vibe and make it easier to find relatability. Ever since the promo of ‘Noor’ has come out, ‘Noor’ has attracted a lot of attention, and we think it will strike a chord with the audience. Here are some other factors which we think will work in the film’s favour:

Fresh vibe

‘Noor’ has a very young, refreshing vibe. Be it the film’s subject which in a way is so simple (it tracks a girl’s journey, career, love life in Mumbai), and yet how its treated makes it quite interesting and relatable at the promo level itself. The dialogues, look and even the music in the promos has lured the audience, especially many young girls.

Sonakshi Sinha in a new avatar

While Sonakshi was earlier known for her ‘desi’ roles, she’s turned herself almost into an action hero with her previous two films. And now with ‘Noor’, she’s this simple, modern day girl who is real and relatable. Her look in the film is also adorable and one which has really been liked by people. There’s never really been a doubt about her acting prowess, and just as she’s the face of the film, while she plays the titular role, one expects some great work from the lady.

The time of release

Noor which is releasing on April 21, doesn’t have competition with another major release clashing with it. Raveena Tandon’s ‘Maatr’ is also releasing on the same day but both deal with very different subjects. ‘Maatr’ is a rather serious thriller which awakens the audience and makes them question what’s wrong with our country. On the other hand, ‘Noor’ is a light-hearted, slice-of-life film. Both have a different set of audience.

The response to the trailer

People have really received the trailer very well, and are looking forward to the fi lm. Also, because the ensemble cast is interesting. Popular comedian Kanan Gill who is known for his pretentious movie reviews, will be seen in ‘Noor’. He enjoys a lot of popularity from the youth. The fi lm also stars Purab Kohli who has his own niche following as well.
