NOT TOO LONG AGO WE HAD BROKEN……
Not too long ago we had broken the news that Saif Ali Khan and Fatima Sana Shaikh will be seen together in a horror comedy titled TANTRIK. Now it seems that the makers have changed the title of the film to BHOOT POLICE. That’s not all; the makers have also roped in Ali Fazal to star in the 3D horror comedy. The film is directed by Pavan Kirpalani and produced by Fox Star Studios. The shoot will begin from August 2019 onwards.
Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Ayan Mukerji took off to Prayagraj to unveil the logo of their fantasy film BRAHMASTRA at the Ardh Kumbh Mela, which was launched on the occasion of Maha Shivratri, this past week. In a first of its kind launch in India, drones lit up in the sky to form the logo. The team also live streamed the launch on social media which caught the interest of the fans across the nation.
Vicky Kaushal who was recently seen in the smashing hit URI, will now be seen playing the role of freedom fighter and revolutionary Sardar Udham Singh in Shooijt Sircar directed biopic. The role was earlier written for Irrfan Khan, but the makers later approached Vicky Kaushal due to Irrfan’s prolonged illness. The film will be produced by Ronnie Lahiri under the banner – Rising Sun Films.
Akshay Kumar is the next Bollywood star to make his digital debut with Amazon Prime Video’s action- packed thriller series. The multi-season show, tentatively titled The End is presently under development and intends to appeal to fans of the action-thriller genre worldwide. The series will be produced by Abundantia Entertainment, the banner behind Prime Video’s another hit series Breathe.
Last week we had broken the news about the cast of Mohit Suri’s upcoming directorial MALANG, which stars Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani and Kunal Kemmu. The makers have now gone on and decided to release the film on 14th February, 2020. The film is yet another revenge drama story produced by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Films’ Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg and Northern Lights Entertainment’s Jay Shewakramani.
Taking into consideration the smash hit success of Uri: The Surgical Strike featuring Vicky Kaushal and the current atmosphere of patriotism prevalent in the country, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Bhushan Kumar, Abhishek Kapoor and Mahaveer Jain have come together to make a film on the recent Balakot air strikes. The film’s centre figure will of course be Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman. Although the main actors aren’t finalized yet for the project, word going around is that mainly A-Listers will be approached for the film. Watch this space!
Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK are all set to come together to produce a film, albeit, won’t be a sequel to STREE or GO GOA GONE, it will be a comedy film. They have already commenced work on the said film and have already roped in TUMBBAD director Rahi Anil Barve. Currently, the film’s script has been locked along with the director while the rest of the cast and crew will be finalized in the coming months.
