‘Notebook’ directed by Nitin Kakkar, features the debutants Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan Bahl in the lead roles. Set in the backdrop of Kashmir, the film showcases a unique love story of two people Fridaus and Kabir. Every love story has its quirks and this seems to be quite interesting, happy, spirited and heartwarming film that talks about two people finding love in the most unexpected way. Here are the few factors we state in favor of the film.

A well defined trailer is what you need to intrigue the audience; and with ‘Notebook’ trailer, it was truly justified. The trailer is simple and content with picturesque location of Kashmir. The mesmerizing locations are a treat to the eye. Going by the trailer, ‘Notebook’ is a story of sacred love which is not bound by looks, age and financial status. It’s about two lovers who have never met each other, yet love each other by the means of a notebook. Pranutan plays a teacher in a small school, she teaches seven little kids but has to make a difficult choice between them and getting married. When she leaves the kids behind, Zaheer arrives at the school as her replacement. As he bonds with the young kids, he also finds an old notebook, left behind by the Pranutan. Through the notebook, he learns a lot about her and falls in love with her. It will be intriguing to watch how their epic love story ends.

The duo seems to be promising and refreshing together on the silver screen.  Debutants Zaheer and Pranutan seem to have hit the right chord with the audience ever since the posters and glimpse of their dialogue delivery was out. While Pranutan is the granddaughter of veteran actress Nutan, newbie actor Zaheer Iqbal is not related to anyone in Bollywood. He is Salman Khan’s childhood friend’s son.

Romantic drama has its own charm and expectations among the audiences. It’s one of the most appreciated and entertaining genres. . It’s one of the genre’s that deals with common emotion ‘love’, and the happy and heartbreaking love stories that we have seen in the past. Similarly, ‘Notebook’ seems to be an epic love saga with twist and turns.

The songs of the film are soothing.  To begin with the first song ‘”Nai Lagda” is a romantic song that soothes the ears as well as the eyes to its picturesque locations and soulful music. The second song “Laila” is yet again a soulful romantic number, which describes the characters wish for their loved one. On the other hand, “Bumro” is a fun, peppy track and has already hit the chord among the audience.  We see an amazing variation in the album and which has been engaging the audiences.
