In coming time, Bollywood period dramas have been exploring cultures and history of India thoroughly.  These cinematic masterpieces take the audiences back to the range of eras. Regardless of the larger than life feel, they manage to give us some beautiful costumes, stunning visuals, grandeur sets, situational music setups, and most dramatic action sequences witnessed.  Period drama has its own charm and carries a special place in the audience’s heart. The genre itself is a USP of the film. It is one of the most countable genre’s audiences look forward to watch, and are interested to know about the history of India.

The films from Ashutosh Gowariker are larger-than-life that have their own charm and authenticity attracting the audience. The filmmaker has now made a niche for himself as one of the sorted directors, especially when it comes to period drama. After ‘Jodhaa Akbar’, ‘Mohenjo Daro’ – he’s now back with ‘Panipat’. The star-cast plays an integral part in a period drama film. It is an honour and a responsibility for our actors to play legendary characters of our Indian history, which not only gives us one reason to watch the film but also see veteran actors like Sanjay Dutt, Mohnish Bahl, Padmini Kolhapur and Zeenat  Aman working with the new generation. Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon will be seen in a never- seen- before avatars opposite each other for the first time, and both seem impressive in their characters. It will be one of a kind of experience to watch these actors together on-screen. One of the USP of the film is certainly the cast, as we witnessed the eagerness and excitement has built among the audiences.

The response to posters and trailer has been quite good. Many were intrigued by the first look of Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt.  That’s been great to add authenticity to the film.
