Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Pink’ sees the director collaborating with Amitabh Bachchan once again after ‘Piku’. Albeit, he’s not directing this one! It also stars Taapsee Pannu, Keerti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang. The trailer itself has been intriguing and become a talking point, leaving one curious about what the film will have to offer. Here’s why we think ‘Pink’ will make a mark.

Well, the name is enough! He can do no wrong, and this time around he plays a lawyer. He’s seen in a different avatar, with a role that seems power-packed and intense. In his courtroom drama, he tries to investigate the matter which seems complicated. For the mystery to unfold, we’ll only have to see the film.

The maker of films like ‘Vicky Donor’, ‘Madras Cafe’, ‘Piku’ is again coming with another fascinating tale ‘Pink’, this time he is not directing it, just producing it. The movie is directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury who previously helmed the 2006 National award-winning film ‘Antaheen’.  Through the trailer, the movie seems to revolve around the violence against women. The film is looking great as far as trailer is concerned. Shoojit seems to nail this one and have managed to leave an impact and an element of suspense of what will happen next. We can expect this one to be as good as Shoojit Sircar’s previous projects.

The trailer grabbed huge attention from the point of time it released. It created ripples on social media and received accolades for the glimpses of the film. As ‘Pink’ is a thriller, the trailer gives us a sneak peek to the story is very intriguing. It highlights the issue of sexual abuse, but there seems to be a twist. The trailer also provides a telling indictment of the way in which survivors of the sexual assault are victimised by the legal process. ‘Pink’s trailer reflects on the dubious morals of today’s times and it has definitely left us curious with its influential storyline and Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury directorial seems very exciting.

Along with fabulous Amitabh Bachchan who is playing lawyer in the film, Tapsee Pannu also seems to be a surprise package in the film. Her performance looks very promising in the trailer and her untapped talent seems to come out with ‘Pink’. She shows us a glimpse of her acting skills throughout the trailer and seems impactful. Andrea Tariang and Kirti Kulhari will be interesting to watch as they seem to essay their characters impactfully. Angad Bedi can be seen playing a grey shade role in the film which looks interesting. One another gem of this whole team is Piyush Mishra who also makes his presence felt in the trailer. Now we have to wait till September 16 to know all about the mystery and how these people’s performances make it interesting.
