RAAZI is based on a true story of a young girl, who was sent to Pakistan in 1971, to source out any information she could, as war was becoming imminent between India and Pakistan. It is about a journey of a young girl for whom her Nation mattered more than anything else.

Plot

Based on a true story of a young girl, the story is about Sehmat (Alia Bhatt) who is transformed into an Indian spy by her father (Rajit Kapur) who gets her married to a Pakistani Army officer (Vicky Kaushal). The fi lm is about putting your country before anything else. The story is of valour, honor and sacrifi ce of those people who never get any recognition, awards and we don’t even know their names but they leave their mark on our National Flag. Alia Bhatt through the trailer of this movie tells us why she is considered as one the best actress in such a short span. Meghna Gulzar, the director of this fi lm has left no stone unturned to give goose bumps to the audiences.

Genre

A dramatic film shows us human beings at their best, their worst and everything in between. In the past we have seen films like Swades, 3 Idiots, Rang De Basanti, Dil Se and many more which not only work well at the box office but were also liked by the critics. RAAZI is of the same genre and the trailer promises that the film will do wonders at the box office.

Star Cast

The star cast of the film consists of Alia Bhat, Vicky Kaushal both of them look brilliant in the film, going by the trailer it feels like this is going to be one of the best performances of Alia Bhat. Vicky Kaushal looks gripping and looks like he has nailed the role of a Pakistani officer very well. They both are very well supported by Jaideep Ahlawat and Rajit Kapur who all fits to their role nicely. One will also see Alia Bhat’s real mom Soni Razdan play the role of her character’s reel mom in the film.

Sound Track

The music of the film is given by Shankar Ehsaan Loy and lyrics is penned by Gulzar. The makers of the film have already released the music of the fi lm. The song Ae Watan sung by Arijit Singh has already crossed 11 million views online and it is being liked by one and all, also the song Dilbaro which is sung by Harshdeep Kaur, Vibha Saraf and Shankar Mahadevan has also crossed 8.3 million views so far.
