Our Opening Day Prediction

Romeo Akbar Walter (RAW) is a spy thriller that is set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The film is inspired by true events. Ever since the trailer was out it has built eagerness among the audience and here’s why we state a few factors in favor of the film.

John Abraham has made a huge impact on the audience, especially lately, with his hard-hitting, patriotic films. He becomes one of the USP in this an action- nationalism oriented film and has set a standard higher with films based on true events. The actor has found a niche in Hindi cinema with such content-driven films. After two consecutive successes, ‘Parmanu’: The story of Pokhran and ‘Satyamev Jayate’, he is ready for another action flick on patriotism but as a super spy. John will be seen in three different avatars, it looks intriguing and a movie to look forward.

Off late, we have seen that the genre espionage or spy films have been explored to another level.  Films like ‘D-Day’, ‘Baby’, ‘Madras Café’, ‘Raazi’, have given us a sense of pride for our real heroes who work at the risk of their own lives and never take credit for it. This genre is always intriguing to watch for its thrill element and narrative.

The trailer looks promising and has created a buzz around ever since it’s out.  The trailer is dark, intense, and gripping.  ‘Romeo Akbar Walter’ is a tribute to these brave men and women who are known in history books often as just ‘spies’. The film will be clashing with ‘PM Narendra Modi’ which doesn’t seem to be a real clash, since both the genres’ are in different space, willing to approach their target audience in a different way all together.

You are absolutely thrilled at how a film-maker manages to portray the intricate workings of a person’s life or an event in a few hours.  True stories create curiosity; give information about the facts we never knew.
