Opening Day Collection

The popular ‘Sarkar’ franchise is back with its third installment and it promises to be bigger than the previous two. Not to mention, Subhash Nagre, aka Sarkar, is angrier than ever. The film has many new actors this time around and the trailer generated a good response. We think the film might hit the mark and here are the factors that can work in its favour:

THE FRANCHISE

‘Sarkar’ is touted to be one of Ram Gopal Verma’s best work till date. And the franchise has created its own fan base. ‘Sarkar 3’ starts off from where the second installment
ended. How Sarkar deals with his enemies post his son, Shankar’s death and seeks revenge. That might arouse curiousity among the audience to see what’s in store this time around.

AMITABH BACHCHAN

Need we say more? The man’s presence in a film is enough to get the audience curious. Moreover all the Bachchan fans have loved to see him in a role as powerful as ‘Sarkar’ and clearly will be waiting for the next installment. His look to his dialogues – everything has been so popular and despite the fact that it’s been years since the first installment released, people still remember and love the film and his character.

THE ENSEMBLE CAST

This time around there are some new additions in the cast and that also makes the film interesting. While we don’t have Abhishek Bachchan this time around, there are newer actors like Amit Sadh who plays Sarkar’s grandson in the film. Jackie Shroff , Ronit Roy, Manoj Bajpayee are ace actors and their presence also will make a big difference to the film. Yami Gautam though, is the surprise package here and this cast definitely makes the film interesting.

THE GENRE

Somehow gangster films or films with characters just as powerful always seem to attract the viewers. Moreover, Ram Gopal Verma is famous for this genre. So one hopes ‘Sarkar’ lives up to the expectations when it releases on May 12.
