‘Simran’ sees the first time pairing of director Hansal Mehta with his leading Kangana Ranaut. Both have delivered super hits in the past and both of them coming together is absolutely interesting for cinema lovers. The expectation level from the audience will be high from this one as the director and actress have proved themselves at the box office. ‘Simran’ is the story of Gujarati housekeeping lady who is based in the US and she gets involved in the world of crime. She is addicted to gambling and robbing and the movie revolves around the incidents which take place due her antics. ‘Simran’ releases on 15th September 2017.


The trailer of ‘Simran’ is very witty and has many funny moments. It tries to tell you that being carefree at times is okay. Simran the character played by Kangana is full of life, high on energy but she has on character fl aw as described in the trailer which is that she is addicted to gambling and robbing, this is a very interesting aspect which the director has touched upon. On the whole ‘Simran’ looks unique and fresh.

Kangana Ranaut has been a power house performer and she whole heartedly carries ‘Simran’ on her shoulders. The actress is known for her acting skills and she will look to deliver another awesome performance. The expectations will also be high as whenever a Kangana Ranaut film is about to release, people except the film to have good content and look forward to having a great experience at the movies.

Hansal Mehta has delivered hits like ‘Shahid’, ‘Citylights’ and ‘Aligarh’. His films have been applauded by the critics and audience for their bold storylines and his impressive direction skills. He was even awarded the National award in 2013 for ‘Shahid’ which gave him immense recognition across the country. Hansal will be looking to deliver once again at the box office and he would certainly not want to disappoint his fans.


The film’s music has been composed by the talented duo of Sachin- Jigar and the lyrics have been penned by Priya Saraiya and Vayu. The music album consists of six songs namely “Lagdi Hai Thaai”, “Pinjra Tod Ke”, “Meet”, “Majaa Ni Life”, “Simran” and “Baras Ja”. The soundtrack of the film is lovely and has a good ring to it.
