Salman Khan’s upcoming movie ‘Sultan’, also starring Anushka Sharma and Randeep Hooda is all set to release this Eid, and just like any other Khan film, it’s created immense buzz. The star’s fans look cannot wait for the release and it’s expected to be one of the biggest hits of the year. Let us analyse the reasons for ‘Sultan’ to be a blockbuster.

In the first teaser, we were introduced to Salman Khan’s character, Sultan Ali Khan, heading towards the akhada to fight. His look and body has impressed the audiences, and they expect this one to be different from his other films. The second teaser focused on Anushka’s Sharma’s character Aarfa.  She is portrayed as a tough and dedicated lady wrestler yet shown as a homely girl.  And finally the trailer gives us the gist of the story. The story revolves around the two wrestlers Salman khan as Sultan, and Anushka Sharma as Aarfa.  The story is more than just action; it has a love story with the struggle of life and one’s passion towards the sport. It’s about when two individuals of same profession having an equal understanding. It has emotions, action and drama – in short it’s a complete package, which everyone would enjoy.

Fans won’t be disappointed by the markers of the film as they have a mixed bunch of songs. Also one cannot deny the fact that everyone was expecting the songs to be instant hit as they belong to Salman’s film. Being true to it, the songs have already climbed the chartbusters and are topping every list possible. The song ‘Jag ghoomeya’ has struck the right chord with the audience and is considered to be one of the finest compositions of Salman Khan’s career.  Those who have seen the song vow that it can definitely warm the cockles of your heart. The fascinating part of the song is the new dance move of rolling on the ground in a circle and then ending up with one foot over the other knee. Interestingly, the step has been choreographed by none other than the Bhai himself. This move has instantly become a hit. Well, this song just introduced us to a yet another trademark move which fans would love to emulate.

The markers have added a strong story line to the film along with a love story.  The story revolves around the wrestling ring along with the twists and turns in Sultan’s life. This action packed trailer provides us much more than what was expected. What is a sports drama without an underdog? Hence, meet ‘Sultan’, who starts off with a smashing career in wrestling and even wins at the Olympics, until a conflict arrives. Soon, the story shifts into him leaving the sport and then his resurrection to the top. Unlike some of the other Salman films, this doesn’t just seem to rely on his stardom.

Salman’s new avatar

Going by the trailer, Salman Khan has created quite a buzz with his look. We all know by now that Salman Khan is leaving no stone unturned for this film which sees him as a wrestler on screen for the first time in his 25-year-old career. This is by far the most challenging role Salman has taken.  His new avatar has put the expectation to a new level. Salman’s Haryanvi accent seems to be attracting the audience, it will be exciting to see how well he maintains it throughout the film. While Salman Khan movies are said to be all about peppy numbers and smart one-liners, with his recent films like ‘ Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ he has broken the image.  Moreover the transition of his body is remarkable as seen in the trailer itself. The confidence in his body language, his enviable muscles and of course, will surely make a million women go weak in their knees and serious fitness goals to all the men out there.

Star cast

The movie boasts of some amazing actors with the likes of Anushka Sharma, Randeep Hooda and Amit Sadh; it would be interesting to see such actors share screen space with Salman Khan in this film. Moreover, this film has an equally action-packed role for the leading lady. Anushka Sharma’s hard-work is quite evident in the trailer itself. She looks perfectly fit for her character as Aarfa  and the sensibility in adapting different accents has never let the audience down. With the Haryani accent she is all set to knock it out with her new look and character. We are also introduced to the characters of Amit Sadh and Randeep Hooda in the film. Hooda had shared screenspace with Salman Khan in ‘Kick’ previously so it would be interesting to see what they have to offer this time around.
