Taapsee Pannu will be seen playing a professional shooter in her next film titled WOMANIYA. The film will be produced by Phantom Films. This, incidentally, is going to another women centric film that Taapsee is going to be a part of, the earlier being PINK. The film is based on the true life story of several women professional shooters. Taapsee will also undergo a lot of training in professional shooting to be ready for the role. The film will go on the floors mid this year. The other details of the film are yet under wraps, but watch this space for more!

On March 2nd, for the first time we will be seeing the same producers – KriArj Entertainment, for the first time releasing two of their films on the same day i.e PARI and PARMANU: THE STORY OF POKHRAN. DRIVE, which was going to release on the same date earlier, according to our sources, might be shifting the date. Hence, everyone at KriArj saw this as an ideal opportunity to release both their films on the Holi long weekend.

Kajol is all set to return to Bollywood after her 2015 film DILWALE. Kajol will be seen playing the lead in Pradeep Sarkar’s directorial which is tentatively titled ELA. The film will go on the floors on 24th January. The film is based on a Gujarati play titled BETA KAGDO. The film is co-produced by Ajay Devgn and Abhinav Shukla and will open later this year.

Ever since the new release date of PADMAAVAT was in speculation, leave being official, it has caused a dominoes effect for the releases of the new films. Starting with AIYAARY which due to PAD MAN and PADMAAVAT postponed its date to February 9 BUT now PAD MAN, due to the same reason has also shifted its release to February 9. That means February 9 will have 3 releases in AIYAARY, PAD MAN and SONU KE TITTU KI SWEETY. It will be interesting to see if all the 3 films release on the same day.

Diljit Dosanjh, who already has 2 bollywood films in the pipeline; SOORMA and ARJUN PATIALA, has now come on board for a Ramesh Taurani film. The yet untitled film in question is apparently going to be a rom-com. The details about the film are yet under wraps and none of the leads have yet been locked. Watch this space for more!

Ajay Devgn now will also be producing the Hindi version of AAPLA MANUS. The film AAPLA MANUS was originally based on the Marathi play KATKON TRIKON. Paresh Rawal, who had earlier done the play on the same subject in Gujarati and Hindi, will now be a part of the Hindi version of the film. Ashutosh Gowariker is also going to be one of the producers of the film and the film will be directed by AAPLA MANUS director Satish Rajwade.

While we’re talking about SOORMA, the Diljit Dosanjh starrer fi lm has now been postponed to avoid clash with Sanjay Dutt biopic, which is now releasing on June 29th. Initially SOORMA was going to release on the same date but now makers have decided to postpone and a new date is yet to be announced. Watch this space for more!
