This past week, the teaser and the poster of Saif Ali Khan’s much awaited next, Jawaani Jaaneman were released. Both, the teaser and the poster have been widely appreciated by the audience and the industry alike. Saif will be seen in the recreated version of one of his superhit old songs, Ole Ole from Yeh Dillagi. Tanishk Bagchi has composed the new track and Shabbir Ahmed has penned the lyrics. Besides Saif, the film also stars Tabu and will see Aalia Furniturewala making her debut. Jawaani Jaaneman is produced by Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Saif Ali Khan, and Jay Shewakramani. Directed by Nitin Kakkar, the film is all set to release on 31st January 2020.
This past week, the makers of CHHAPAAK released a promotional video which is titled Ab Ladna Hai. Written by the legendary Gulzar Saab, the video sees Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey giving voice to Gulzar’s inspirational words as they calls on society to bring about a change in its mindset. CHHAPAAK is the story of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal and the makers have done this campaign with respect to educating and to change people’s attitude towards the survivors.
Ajay Devgn who is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, is now ready with the story of his next film in the UNSUNG WARRIOR franchise. His next will be on King Suheldev who defeated Mahmud Of Ghazni’s army in 11th century AD in Bahraich, and it will be based on Amit Tripathi’s book and they have already discussed about a film adaptation of the same. Coming back to TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR, produced by Ajay Devgn’s ADF and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, Directed by Om Raut, it will release on 10th Jan 2020.
Ronnie Screwvala and Vasant Bala will reunite once again after MARD KO DARD NAHI HOTA. The makers are together working on a superhero project, which is going to be an adaptation of American comic strip The Phantom, a crime-fighter who operates from the fictional country of Africa, Bangalla. They have acquired the official rights to adapt this film on the silver screen. Watch this space for more!
Sanjay Gupta has acquired the rights of the graphic novel Rakshak, to be made into a feature film. This makes it India’s first graphic novel to be made into a feature film. White Feather Films has bought the rights of the graphic novel Rakshak from Yali Dream Creations Ceo and Publisher Asvin Sirvastangam. Rakshak is a vigilante without any superpowers. The adaptation, directed by Gupta is going to be a very ambitious film. which the makers are looking to make on a grand scale. Watch this space for more details.
