This past Monday the industry was in for a rude shock when filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali shelved his upcoming magnum opus Insha-allah starring Salman Khan and Alia Bhat just days before the principle photography. Khan and Bhansali both cited creative differences as the main reason for the film been shelved. This happened when the set of the film was already been erected in a studio in the suburbs. Post the news became public, there has been a lot of back and forth with both Khan and Bhansali claiming that they will come on Eid 2020 which was the date decided to release INSHA-ALLAH. Akshay Kumar’s next LAXXMI BOMB has in the meanwhile moved to the Eid date. While this story of INSHA-ALLAH was revealed in the public there have been two other movies we have spoken about in this very column in the past couple of weeks which have been shelved just weeks before the shoot was about to commence. This now becoming a very dangerous trend in the industry with sometimes the talent or in some cased the makers pulling the plug on a movie which has been locked. There is an old saying in the industry that never assume that your movie is going to start until unless papers have been signed, we reckon  that that saying needs to change to never assume till your movie is actually finished filming! how times are changing for the worst.
