Movies trailers are the first glimpse of what the movie will be about, trailers generate a buzz in the minds of the audiences whether to watch the film or not, hence trailers play an important role in the success of any film, as 2018 dawns, we at Super Cinema take a look back at the most amazing trailers of Bollywood movies of 2017…


This one was the most awaited trailer of the year and stands as the best trailer of 2017. The trailer became the most liked trailer on YouTube; it became the most liked Hindi movie trailer ever. The film was a sequel of the super hit Ek Tha Tiger and as the previous one, this movie has more of action and adventure, from Salman Khan fighting with the wolves to Katrina Kaif’s solo 4 and a half minute action scene. The trailer of the film beautifully projected everything that the movie stands for that is to create peace in the world. The trailer was edited into brilliant scenes of action, drama and sizzling chemistry between Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif who stood together for world peace.


RAEES was one of the most anticipated trailer of the year and raced ahead to create history by becoming the first ever trailer of Bollywood to strike 21 million views in 24 hours. Within minute of its release, the trailer cooked up a storm on social media. The raw and edgy trailer of RAEES was an entertaining roller coaster filled with worthy moments, especially the dialogues and intense performance of Shah Rukh Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Jolly LL.B 2  

Akshay Kumar raised the bar with the trailer of JOLLY LL.B 2, it was a sequel to 2013 hit JOLLY LL.B, while the first one was about a hit and run case, this one deals with the case of mistaken identity of a Jammu and Kashmir terrorist. The trailer had enough laugh out loud moments and emotional outbursts to keep you invested. The trailer was a fine display of histrionics by all these refined actors, which made the movie worth seeing.

Hindi Medium

The trailer of Irrfan Khan Starrer HINDI MEDIUM impressed the audiences; the trailer was edited brilliantly into two and a half minute which revolved around the stereotype of primary languages English and Hindi creating a class divide among the masses. The trailer showed the transforming journey of two parents wanting to get their child an admission into an English medium school. The trailer had some very funny moments and dialogues which won hearts of audiences, one such dialogue that told the entire plot of the movie was Saba’s one linear “ English is not a language but a class and if not them, at least their daughter should get to be a part of that class”.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania

The hit pair of Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan were back with their next installment of the ‘HUMPTY SHARMA KI DULHANIA’ franchise. And the trailer packed quite a punch. The two minute and fifty seven seconds long trailer showed Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s fun, banter and romance scenes which serve up a good dose of easy, natural chemistry. With colorful songs, action sequences and generous dollops of emotions the trailer promised all elements of a masala entertainer which it went off to become, with wonderful performance by Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan the movie became worth a watch.

Golmaal Again

GOLMMAL AGAIN trailer promised that the movie will become a runaway hit, as it had all the gags, action, drama and madness that the franchise GOLMAAL is known for. The film had many funny moments and every actor was a delight to watch, whether it’s the lisping of Lakshman (Tushar Kapoor) or Gopal (Ajay Devgan), who is petrified of ghosts, everyone is so proficient and one can’t help but smile at their antics. The dialogues were pedestrian but witty.


David Dhawan and Varun Dhawan attempt to recreate the magic of 90’s super hit JUDWAA directed by David Dhawan himself, as soon as the news came out everyone was eagerly waiting for the movie. The trailer soon became one of the most awaited trailers and managed to make the audience laugh, especially the next generation kids who must have not seen the original JUDWAA, the trailer was well edited with a mix of quirky dialogues, amazing action stunts and one liners’ that make you laugh. Varun Dhawan shined in the film were other supporting actors played their part well.

Fukrey Returns

After the hilarious first installment that won the hearts, FUKREY boys Pulkit Samrat, Ali Fazal, Manjot Singh and Varun Sharma along with Richa Chadha were back with another laughter riot. The trailer tickled few funny bones, the humor element of the previous installment were retained in this film adding more funny dialogues. The trailer gave glimpse of the friendship the Fukrey boys share and how the Fukras once again get mired in uncalled for troubles. The fun, drama, adventure was beautifully crafted in the trailer.

Toilet- Ek Prem Katha

The movie highlighted the importance of sanitation conditions in India, with emphasis on the reduction of open defecation in public areas, especially in the rural areas of the country. The movie promoted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan campaign. The trailer was edited amazingly which showcased the problems that women face, especially in rural areas. The trailer had some hard hitting one liner’s, funny moments and emotional content which made the film even more worth watching.

Bareilly Ki Barfi

The trailer of this film opened up to much enthusiasm and was liked by most. The movie tells the story of Bitti (Kriti Sanon) who falls in love with an author named Pritam (Rajkumar Rao), and in order to find him she takes help of Chirag (Ayushmann Khurrana). The trailer of the film was quirky, fun and colorful, displaying arrays of emotions. The actors played their part well, especially Rajkumar Rao who shines in the film and the supporting cast of Seema Pahwa and Pankaj Tripathi are a delight to watch.
