Coronavirus has infected the global economy and it’s impacting all the markets day by day. Cinema is not an uncommon execution in this, it is a sector which is expected to get hit by this virus the most. There are several films which are on the verge of release and under production currently in the next few weeks and coming months. We genuinely feel as the outbreak is happening in India on a rapid pace we are going to see a major shift in a lot of releases and in turn losses in hundreds of crores.

Films that are subject to release in the coming week are more suspicious of getting hit by the situation, as there is huge amount of chance in decline of footfalls coming to the theatres which will affect the Box office revenues big time. With major releases in next week like ANGREZI MEDIUM and SOORYAVANSHI all eyes are on these movies as the buzz around this movies is huge and so is the current Coronavirus situation globally. In India already a number of Coronavirus cases have been found and this are just alarming situations. Delhi and Rajasthan circuit contributes almost 25 to 30 percent but as major cases detected in India so far in Delhi and Rajasthan, filmmakers fear that the theatres in this area might see a sharp decline in footfalls.

The release date of James Bond’s latest film NO TIME TO DIE is already been pushed by seven months in the wake of Coronavirus and things would take a similar turn here as well. This week’s release BAAGHI 3 starring Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor was poised to take the biggest openings of the year thus far which it will still achieve but while we were going to print it looked like the movie lost out of some major monies due the virus’ scare pan-India. We would have to play this dangerous situation by the ear as things are changing every single day and a lot of hard work and monies are riding of movies that are ready and up for release.
