Nishikant Kamat, who delivered successful films such as Drishyam and Force passed away due to multiple organ failure. He was suffering from chronic liver disease and secondary infections, was admitted to AIG Hospital in Gachibowli, Hyderabad on July 31, where he was undergoing various treatments till he succumbed to multiple organ failure. The news of his passing comes as a shock to everyone in the industry.
Everyone poured in their tributes to him on social media as well. Kamat made his directorial debut in 2005 with Marathi movie Dombivali Fast, which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Marathi. He made his silver screen debut in 2004 with the Hindi movie Hava Aney Dey. In 2008, Kamat helmed his first Bollywood film Mumbai Meri Jaan.
