What is it about:
DANGEROUS is a mystery thriller about a rich guy called Aditya Dhanraj (Karan Singh Grover) whose wife, Diya (Sonali Raut) goes missing. Neha (Bipasha Basu), who has a history with Aditya, is assigned to solve the case and thus begins a cat-and-mouse chase to catch who is fooling whom.
What we liked:
The series has its flaws but the episodes are not stretched for long durations, each episode is crisp and precise and sums up the story with ease without wasting the viewer’s time. Performances by Bipasha Basu as Neha is very impressive, Karan Singh Grover does a fine job as Aditya Dhanraj and is equally supported by Suyyash Rai who plays Vishal. Natasha Suri also delivers a fine performance. Overall the performance by the entire star cast is admirable.
What we didn’t like:
The story is predictable and easy to guess the suspense. A decade or two ago, it would have been easy to pass off DANGEROUS as watchable with all the cinematic liberties, but too many thrillers have been churned on the same lines over the years and the writing needs to be doubly smarter to keep a viewer hooked to the screens. The show is mounted on a great scale but the content brings it down. The music of the series is also not praise worthy. The character establishment is very poor, there’s no strong back story to establish interpersonal relationships.
