RELEASES GALORE !!!
There is somewhat of a celebration in the industry right now, ever since the Chief Minister of Maharashtra announced that the theaters in the State will open from the 22nd October 2021. The makers – directors, actors and most importantly the producers, the investors and the multiplex owners, can now finally breathe again once the theaters reopen. Ever since the pandemic the entertainment industry, among the others, have been in a slump. Now with the vaccination drives in full swing, we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel as we slowly return to normal. The makers have now started announcing the release date of their films which had been put on hold ever since the pandemic began early last year. The audiences will be welcomed to the theaters on 22nd October, 2021 with Pratik Gandhi starrer BHAVAI which is produced by Jayantilal Gada. On Saturday, Rohit Shetty, Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar announced that their cop drama, SOORYAVANSHI will be hitting the theaters on the Diwali weekend of this year. The film will be followed by the release of BUNTY AUR BABLI 2. Starring Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari, the Yash Raj Films is slated to release on November 19. John Abraham starrer SATYAMEVA JAYATE 2 will be releasing on 26th January, 2021. Suniel Shetty’s son Ahan Shetty’s debut film Tadap is slated to release on December 3. Ayushmann Khurrana starrer CHANDIGARH KARE AASHIQUI will release on 10th December, 2022. Ranveer Singh will be bowling us over with his sports drama ’83, when it will be released on the Christmas weekend at the end of the year. The cricket fever would continue in the following week when Shahid Kapoor starrer JERSEY will release on 31st December 2021.
The first quarter of the year 2022 looks equally exciting with Akshay Kumar starrer PRITHVIRAJ locked in to release on January 21, 2022. Then yesterday, Aamir Khan confirmed that LAAL SINGH CHADDHA , which was following a Christmas 2021 release date, will now release on February 25, 2022. Releasing along with it is Ranveer Singh’s JAYESHBHAI JORDAAR. We aren’t done with Akshay yet, as he greets us in March again with BACHCHAN PANDEY, which will release on March 4, 2022. Ranbir Kapoor will make his come back on the silver screen after three years with SHERSHAAH on March 18, 2022. A week later, we get to get lost in a maze with Kartik Aaryan as BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 will release on 25th March, 2022. Launching on 1st April, 2022 is ROCKETRY: THE NAMBI EFFECT, which is written and directed by R. Madhavan. The summer gets even more hot with the much awaited sequel of KGF, KGF 2 will release on 14th April, 2022. Ajay Devgn’s MAYDAY releases on 29th April, 2022 and Tiger Shroff’s HEROPANTI 2 will release on 6th May 2022. This is not all. Next year is HUGE for Akshay Kumar. We already see two releases from him in the first half of the next year. But he is going to greet us in the theaters in the second half of 2022 as well. He books his Independence Day 2022 slot with Anand L Rai’s RAKSHA BANDHAN and he books himself a Diwali 2022 slot with RAM SETU. Clashing with RAKSHA BANDHAN on the Independence day weekend is Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan starrer ADIPURUSH. 2022 will end with a bang when Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon starrer GANAPATH will hit the screens on 23rd December, 2022. We are not sure if you can tell already but we are extremely excited after seeing the line up. We have a lot to look forward to, and this is not all, as more and more films confirm their release dates soon!
